Trout fishing the Norfork River in Arkansas is everything I was told it would be and more.
The Norfork River is Incredible
I was told the Norfork River in Arkansas was one of the top five trout fishing rivers in the United States, and now I believe it. Besides catching over thirty trout in three days, I was impressed with how well the Corps of Engineers keeps up the campground and the surrounding facilities.
I stayed at the Dam-Quarry Campground about four miles from the town of Norfork.
The Dam-Quarry Campground is immediately downstream of the Norfork Dam.
I was extremely impressed with the facilities at the campground, especially how nice the bathroom and shower facilities were.
Now, What About the Fishing?
The trout fishing was great and non-stop action on a four-mile section of the Norfork River.
I stayed in the area for three days and caught at least 30 trout. Here are a few images from the video you can see at the end of this article.
The weather was perfect on this trip and the fishing was absolutely incredible.
