My Thoughts after Testing It
I set the Camp Chef stove up in my 12’x12′ Kodiak Canvas Cabin Lodge tent and cooked a pizza in it, and the heat shields worked perfectly.
To be exact, I have two heat shields. Having two mats allows me to have double the protection under the stove, plus it provides me an additional foot out in front of the stove in case wood or sparks fall out onto the tent floor.
You can also find this stove heat shield at Bass Pro and Cabela’s.
I suppose the tent floor could still be melted if the stove got to hot, but it was well protected on this first test.
