Check out my new MAVEN Rangefinder Review & Field Test.
1st Field Test
I headed out in the evening for a filed test where I could over look some great ranch land and have plenty of targets to check the accuracy of the MAVEN Rangefinder.
It was a mostly cloudy sky with the sun setting over the Rocky Mountains and I found large and small targets, with some of them white and others a dark brown, like barns. I also ranged on targets as close as 300 yards and as far away as 2000 yards.
It was also helpful to have the MAVEN S.1A 25-50X80 Spotting Scope to help me find the Mule Deer Bucks to range in on.
2nd Field Test
The next day, around 10 am, I headed out again to check the range on the same targets, but this time I had full sunlight without a cloud in the sky.
I was curious how well the ranged distances would compare to each other, plus how accurate they are when compared to the distances I would take off Google Earth.
Field Test Results
Well, I don’t need to say much, other than the distances between the 1st and 2nd field tests were nearly identical, and you can see from the table below, that the ranged distances are extremely accurate when compared to the distances I took off from the Google Earth map.
Final Thoughts
The MAVEN RF.1 – 7X25 5-4500 YD Rangefinder is extremely accurate, plus lightweight and easy to use. I was really happy with the results and I can’t recommend MAVEN highly enough. Check the MAVEN products out by clicking on their logo below.
