If you’re a beginner, watch Cabelas Fly Fishing 201 Course from Lone Tree, Colorado.
What Yout Can Expect in the Course
This course is a follow up course to Cabela’s Fly Fishing 101 where we learned the basics of fly fishing, fishing etiquette, and then practiced how to cast in the Cabela’s parking lot.
Now, we met up at a lake here in Colorado, near the beginning of the Colorado Trail in Littleton, Colorado to continue practicing what we learned about fly fishing casting.
The Cabela’s Fly Fishing Pros worked with each student to refine their casting techniques based on if they had a clear area behind them to cast or had a lot of brush.
It was obvious that this training at a lake was much needed practice from what we learned in the 101 class, and it also showed that all of us were going to need a lot more practice on rivers here in Colorado. Check out the fishing reports here in Colorado to help improve how and where to fish.
Fly fishing is a life long lesson to learn how to cast in different situations, how to read the river or lake, how to tie knots, how to chose the right fly, plus many more things that we have yet to learn.
